Live-In Care

The same face. Every day.

Live-in care means a dedicated, professional carer living in your home — so you or your loved one can stay exactly where they want to be, with real continuity and genuine support.

Live-In Care

What is live-in care?

Live-in care means a trained carer moves into your home and provides one-to-one support throughout the day. They are there when you wake up, when routines need managing, and when something unexpected happens at 2am.

Unlike a care home, you stay in your own surroundings. Your routines, your furniture, your garden, your pets — nothing has to change except that there is now someone alongside you who knows what they are doing and genuinely cares about the outcome.

At Blossom Healthcare Solutions, we match people carefully. We take time to understand the person before we introduce a carer, because a live-in arrangement only works when there is real compatibility. Once the right match is made, we work hard to keep it stable.

If you would like to talk through whether live-in care is right for your situation, get in touch.

Live-In Care

Who is it for?

Live-in care works well for a range of situations. It is often the right choice when:

  • Regular visiting care is no longer enough, but moving into a residential home feels like too big a step
  • The person needs support through the night, or reassurance that someone is nearby
  • Dementia or a neurological condition means familiarity and routine are especially important
  • A couple want to stay together at home, with one or both receiving support
  • Someone is recovering from a stroke, surgery or a hospital stay and needs intensive support through rehabilitation
  • The family lives some distance away and needs the reassurance of knowing someone reliable is always present

No situation is identical. If you are not sure whether live-in care fits, we are happy to talk it through without any pressure or obligation.

Live-In Care

How we approach live-in care.

Live-in care is one of the most personal arrangements we make. It is not just about matching skills to needs — it is about finding someone whose personality, pace and approach fits comfortably into the life of the person they are supporting.

We start with a thorough assessment at home. We listen to what the person needs, but we also listen to how they like things done, what matters to them and what kind of company they enjoy. From there, we select a carer who we believe will genuinely suit them.

We stay involved. Our team checks in regularly, responds to any concerns quickly and adjusts the arrangement if something is not working. Continuity matters enormously in a live-in setting, and we work hard to protect it.

TESTIMONIALS

What people say about us...

I couldn't have asked for better end-of-life care for my mum over the last three months. The team showed great kindness and professionalism and it was a pleasure having them come into my home.

Ruth S

Daughter of Client

Blossom Healthcare were excellent in the care they gave my father. Very polite and nothing was a problem for them to do. Office staff were always at the end of the telephone so you could discuss any matters ad gave advice when needed.

Paul K

Son of Client

Staff was respectful, compassionate, efficient, friendly, considerate and helpful at all times. The office was always at the other end of telephone to help and assist with any queries. I would certainly recommend if the need arise.

The important questions

What does live-in care cost?

The cost of live-in care depends on the level of support required. We are always transparent about costs before any care begins, and there are no hidden charges. Some people are eligible for funding through Continuing Healthcare (CHC), a form of NHS funding available to those whose care needs are primarily health-related. We can help you understand your options. For a specific quote, please get in touch.

What areas do you cover for live-in care?

We provide live-in care across West Essex, Epping Forest, and East and North Hertfordshire — including Harlow, Epping, Bishops Stortford, Hertford, Ware, Hoddesdon and surrounding towns and villages. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, just call us.

Can a live-in carer support someone with dementia or complex needs?

Yes. Live-in care is often particularly well-suited to people living with dementia, because the consistency of having the same face in the same home significantly reduces confusion and anxiety. Our carers receive training in dementia care, and where someone has more complex clinical needs, we ensure the right competencies and clinical oversight are in place.
