Waltham Abbey has held a market charter since 1189, and markets still run on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the town centre. It's a town shaped by its history, the abbey church where King Harold is believed to be buried, the Royal Gunpowder Mills, and Gilwell Park just along the road, alongside a strong, settled residential community. It's around 10 miles from our Harlow base, just off the M25 at Junction 26, which means a short journey for us and a quick response if plans ever need to change. We cover Waltham Abbey and the surrounding area, including Waltham Cross, Upshire and Sewardstone.
