Takeley sits on Stane Street, the old Roman road between Braughing and Colchester, and today it's best known for being home to part of London Stansted Airport, including the main terminal. The Grade I listed Holy Trinity Church, a 12th-century building, is still at the heart of village life, and the A120 gives quick access to the wider area. It's around 11 miles from our Harlow base. We cover Takeley and the surrounding area, including Little Canfield and Great Dunmow.
