Celebrating Community & Connection

🩵 Celebrating Community & Connection: Our Incredible Day at Stevenage’s International Day for Older People! 🩵

What an absolutely fantastic day we had last Thursday! We are still buzzing with excitement after attending the International Day for Older Persons event in Stevenage! 🐝✨ It truly was a perfect day from start to finish, filled with warm conversations, new connections, and a wonderful sense of community spirit! 🥳

Events like these remind us exactly why local support networks are so vital. 🤝 We spent the day working closely with local businesses and community support organisations, all united by a single goal: ensuring the older generation in Stevenage feels valued, supported, and connected. 💬 The energy in the room was incredible, and it was deeply moving to see so many people coming together to share resources and smiles! 😊🌟

👑 A Warm Welcome from Local Leaders! 👑

As if the day wasn’t already inspiring enough, we had the absolute privilege of meeting some very special guests! 🤩 We were deeply honoured to meet the Mayor of Stevenage, and we had the absolute privilege of chatting with Kevin Bonavia, the MP for Stevenage! 🏛️👋

Kevin took the time to learn more about our mission and the work we do, showing a deep interest in how we support our local residents.

🔮 Looking to the Future: Inviting MP Kevin Bonavia to Our Club! 🔮

Meeting Kevin was undoubtedly a major highlight of our day! 🚀 In fact, we enjoyed his company so much that we are hoping to welcome MP Kevin Bonavia to one of our social clubs in the near future! 📅☕

Having our local MP visit would be an incredible treat for our members. It is a fantastic opportunity to show him firsthand the real-world impact of our monthly gatherings. Our social clubs are all about friendship, laughter, and community! 🎉❤️

🩵 Thank You, Stevenage! 🩵

We want to extend a massive thank you to the organisers, the local businesses who partnered with us, the community groups who inspire us daily, and everyone who stopped by to say hello! 🙌🎈 You made last Thursday a day we won't forget anytime soon!

Stay tuned for updates - we hope to share some exciting news about an MP visit very soon! 👀✨
